BLG translation of the CAI draft guidelines on consent
The Quebec’s privacy regulator, the Commission d’accès à information (“CAI”), recently published draft guidelines on consent published as part of a public consultation currently underway until June 25th, 2023. Following this consultation, the CAI intends to release the final guidelines in October 2023. However, the regulator has indicated that this date may change depending on the volume of comments received and the changes to be made.
We have translated this draft guidelines document to allow clients to review this draft and participate in the ongoing consultation. Disclaimer: our document is not an official translation so it may not be perfectly accurate (but it may very well still be useful).
